The Animation Course offers live and recorded online animation and drawing classes taught by professional animator Chad Stewart, whose film credits include The Emperor's New Groove, Surf's Up, and The Polar Express.
Students ages 11-18 can take Animation Levels 1-4, from introductory principles through completing an original animated short film, and Drawing Levels 1-4, from fundamentals and character drawing through digital drawing and drawing humans. Younger students can start with FlipBook FunPack, available as digital lessons or a boxed set with supplies, mainly for ages 8-11. Chad is a homeschool dad of eight and built these classes to support homeschool families looking for high-quality art and animation instruction.

Online Level 1 Animation Course
My teen has loved taking the first big step in her dream of becoming an animator as her career of choice. The course has been informative, interesting, and challenging in the best ways. We love this course and even had the wonderful opportunity to meet Mr. Chad and Mrs. Kayla Stewart at the 2026 FL Homeschool Conference making it even more beneficial and pertinent to our child! Online Animation Course
My son wants to go into the animation field for his career. We were thrilled to find The Animation Course's four-part animation series which will lead him through what he needs to create his own feature film for purposes of building his portfolio for college applications. He has almost finished the first course and is already registered for the second one. He came in knowing a little bit about the field, but has been challenged and learned a lot! I highly recommend Chad Stewart and The Animation Course classes to help enrich your child's education.

Animation Levels 1-3
We have LOVED The Animation Course with Mr. Stewart! My daughter is almost finished with level 3 and has learned so much! She plans to continue on through all the levels. The classes are fun and engaging and the grading/feedback from professionals in the field on her assignments help her to grow with every lesson. Mrs. Stewart is a fantastic administrator and gets back to us very quickly anytime we have a question for her, too. They accept step up for students scholarship funds directly from the marketplace making payment for classes quick and easy. They were an answer to prayer for my girl who wanted to learn animation when we couldn’t find anything local. So glad we found The Animation Course! Don’t hesitate to sign up!! You’ll love it!!
