Transitions Microschool

Hello!

At Transitions Microschool, we partner with homeschooling families to create an amazing learning experience. Families continue the Core 4—math, science, social studies, and language arts—at home using the curriculum of their choice. If you love what you’re using, you keep using it. 🙂 Students grades 3-8 (ages 8-14ish) then join us two days a week for engaging, themed units that span multiple subjects, along with art, STEM, and computer science. For example, during our “Extreme Weather” unit, we explored hurricanes, tornadoes, wildfires, floods, and more. We read a novel set during Hurricane Katrina, built a small-scale levee, made a blizzard in a bottle, constructed a solar oven for s’mores, and even grew crystal snowflakes. Our hours are 9:00–2:30. We follow a year-round schedule of six weeks on and two weeks off, with a little extra time around New Year’s, the 4th of July, and Thanksgiving week. We complete six units each year. Tuition is $500 per month, and we are approved providers for Step Up for Students PEP and UA scholarships.
