Debra Weller Storyteller

Performances- Debra Weller Storyteller is a credentialed teacher.

I provide 45 minute storytelling performances on curricular themes to address language arts and social studies. My programs are highly interactive with folk tales, sing a long songs, and puppets. Programs can be customized to age group and themes. Workshops- Debra Weller Storyteller can teach consecutive,4 to 6 week, hour long sessions virtually or in person. The purpose of the class is to develop language and public speaking skills through the children learning to tell stories in the oral tradition. They learn how to craft a story by using voice inflection, character development and stage presence. This is linked to the Youthful Voices program with the Florida Storytelling Festival. Mrs. Sunshine Santa Claus- Debra Weller Storyteller performs as Mrs. Claus during the holiday, both virtually and in person. She can bring a magical presence to your holiday event. Types of events: Story Time, Tea Party with Mrs. Claus, Cookie Decorating and photoshoots. Mrs. Claus must booked 6 weeks in advance due to the short holiday season. Art classes- Debra Weller is an art educator. She can provide art classes to teach children the basics of watercolor, acrylic, oil pastels, colored pencils and other media.
