Joe Sandusky Virtual Guitar Lessons

I'm Joe Sandusky, a certified K-12 Music teacher with 30 years of experience teaching guitar — 16 years giving private lessons at music stores, and 14 years building and running the guitar program at Winter Park High School, where I grew it from a single class into a full four-year curriculum.

I'm now offering my services online through video conferencing. I teach every student to read standard notation, train their ear, improvise, and compose — all from the very first lessons. That might sound like a lot, but I introduce it gradually: we start with just a few notes and build from there, one small, manageable step at a time. Because I'm a certified educator, lessons are structured with real curriculum and pacing in mind, which makes guitar a natural fit as a homeschool elective or arts credit. Every lesson is personalized around what each student is actually into — whether that's classic rock, jazz, pop, or something else entirely — so they're always learning through music they care about, not generic exercises.
