Would Your Child Love to Discover a New Art Form?
📸 Are they creative, curious, or always noticing things others might miss? Do they enjoy taking photos and want to learn how to make them really stand out? Or maybe they're simply looking for something new and creative to explore? Photography might be the perfect fit. I offer personalized, one-on-one online photography classes for kids and teens who want to discover photography as both an art form and a technical skill—in a way that's creative, engaging, and built around what they are interested in learning. I don't believe every student should follow the same photography curriculum. I take the time to get to know each student—their personality, experience level, camera, goals, and most importantly, what inspires them. From there, I create a learning path specifically for them. Love photographing people? We can explore portraits. Fascinated by animals and the outdoors? Let's explore nature and wildlife. Interested in sports, landscapes, events, still life, or artistic photography? Their lessons can grow around those interests. For beginners, I make the technical side of photography approachable. Students can learn aperture, shutter speed, ISO, exposure, focus, lenses, lighting, composition, camera settings, and creative techniques while also learning how those tools can be used to express their own ideas. I don't want my students to simply memorize photography terms. I want them to understand their camera, develop their creative eye, and eventually have the confidence to make their own artistic decisions. Classes include hands-on practice, visual learning materials, photo reviews, creative challenges, and plenty of opportunities to ask questions. As each student's skills and interests develop, their curriculum develops with them. No camera yet? That's okay! I can help students and their families understand different camera and lens options and choose equipment that makes sense for the student's interests and goals. My classes are taught live, online, and one-on-one, allowing me to give each student my full attention while letting them learn and create at their own pace. From “I like taking pictures” to “I created that photograph.” 📷 My goal is to help young photographers discover a new art form, understand the tools in their hands, and most importantly—find their own way of seeing the world.
