Teaching Terrific Tikes Tutoring provides online, one-on-one and small group tutoring for PreK through middle school students in reading, writing, phonics, and math.

We are led by a licensed elementary educator with hands-on classroom experience, so families know their child is working with someone who truly understands how young learners grow and think. Our approach is gamified and theme-based, which means lessons feel like play while still targeting real academic goals. We use tools like Blooket, hands-on manipulatives, and engaging themes to keep learners motivated and excited to show up each week. Our phonics instruction is grounded in a Science of Reading approach, and we regularly use SHORT assessments like EasyCBM or IXL to track progress, adjust instruction to fit each child, and provide families with unbiased data to understand their child's progress. This, of course, can be opted out of by any family that prefers not to have assessments. We offer several ways for families to work with us. Private one-on-one tutoring sessions are fully personalized to your child's needs. We also offer small group classes such as math fluency groups, Magic Tree House Book Club, courses, and more to allow students build skills in a fun, social setting alongside other students. Select self-paced courses are available for families who want more flexibility. As a homeschooling mother of three myself, I understand firsthand how important it is to find instruction that is both effective and encouraging. We celebrate progress at every step, meet children where they are without judgment, and build genuine relationships with the families we serve.
